Hello God.

Hebrews 10:30.

Most times, I find myself wanting to go contrary to Your instruction to love and pray for my enemies. Your instructions go against all my human instincts. When people hurt me, my instinct is to hurt back. When people misuse or curse me, I want to even the score.

But then Your way is love. And as Your child, it is not my job to seek vengeance, but to pray for my enemies, for those who mistreat me, abuse me, and take advantage of me. Vengeance must always be left in Your hands, cause I am Your person. I belong to You and I’ll trust You to do what’s best to me – and to those who hurt me.

You promised to take care of me, if I leave all in Your hands. You are not only my Helper and Keeper, You are also the Righteous Judge. All I need to do is to put You in my case.

Enable me then Lord, to love unlovable people in difficult situations. Help me Lord to retire from self-care, since I have Christ as my Friend, the Holy Spirit as my Advocate, and You as my Judge.
